Largemouth in Texas

I have been in Texas for some time now and been able to hammer the largemouth here lately.  Mostlyvfishing ponds but I have been able to hit Proctor lake as well as Joe Pool Lake. Fishing in the larger lakes ion s challenging at the moment as a drout has hit them hard.
If you find a pond with any water in Texas you need to fish it. The fishing will be almost as easy as shooting fish in a barrel.

Went to Fellows lake today

So I went fishing at Fellow lake. Two fish today at the Stockton discharge. One bass one long eared sunfish. 

 After the month of no fishing I will say it was recharging to the batteries and the soul to catch two

Back to Bennett Springs

 I went back to Bennett Springs State Park today. Two smallmouth bass and one pumpkinseed perch. 

 As the water warms up I will extend my fishing. C.W. Butler

Bennett Spring Small Mouth

So I have been spending some time braving colder temperatures to fish at one of my favorite places in the Ozarks.
 The smallmouth have been eating up the swim baits and shad pattern jigs at the mouth of the Niangua river confluence at Bennett Spring.
 As soon as the river warms the bass will move from the spring to the river to spawn. I will try and keep you updated as time permits
